Administrators Influence Textbooks

Just analogy of the Mcgraw Hill Controversy

I never knew that textbooks could be influenced by school administrators. The latest controversy regarding McGraw-Hill with one of their history textbook shows us that altered textbooks are bad. Not only because it’s factually incorrect but because it’s negatively influencing students.

I think one must be a little ignorant to think that the slave trade was an act of immigration but we never know who the textbook might influence. Textbooks are still pretty important and at least McGraw-Hill acted upon this issue and is doing their best to change the online versions of the textbook. However, it will take around a decade for newer editions of the hardcover textbooks to be released.
