Popcorn, Movie, and a Gun Check

A parody of upcoming movie posters.

Can we have some peace of mind when we are in a public space such as a movie theatre?

Regal Entertainment has recently introduced a bag check in their movie theatres. They are taking this proactive measure to reduce the chances of another incident of gun violence.

As always, people are arguing whether Regal Ent. has a genuine reason to be doing this. Those who aren’t believing them are accuse them of invading privacy.

Some gun rights activists are opposing this decision because they believe that they should bring their guns in for self protection. That choice is incredibly stupid because there are more chances that one will injure someone else. Even statistics are available to prove that point.

Another reason why Regal Ent. might be doing this is to crack down on people bringing outside snacks. It’s a reason that most people are siding with. Personally, I don’t think that this is the main reason.

Let’s hope that real laws are changed instead of bag checks. At the end of the day, it’s a movie theatre, not an airport.
