Love the metric system! Can’t beat base ten. I am just old enough to remember the switch – hadn’t really learned imperial measurement. But I have to convert all the time for my dad who lives in California – keeping my math skills sharp!
I learned both but since imperial is so prevalent in the US, I know what one foot looks like, how long a mile is and the approx. volume of a quart while their metric counterparts are harder for me to visualize. The simplicity of the metric system is incredible though, I wish the US could adopt it as well.

Wouldn’t it be easier if the states adopted the metric? Unfortunately, it’s too costly.

I feel like it’s harder for me to make far fetched associations with the imperial system. It depends on familiarity.
