Some students are literally setting themselves up for failure. With heads lowered and devices out, they’ve basically become living lampposts.
Some teachers are experts at recognizing students using smartphones in class. Others are too laid-back. If regulation doesn’t work, I might suggest corporal punishment. Unfortunately, that would end in some legal dispute.
There are so many issues with the misuse of smartphones at school. It’s overwhelming. It has now become the millennial smartphone war.
At the end of the day, are you sure you want to see that “F” when you get off the school bus? I don’t think so.
This is a thoughtful post. I used to leave my mobile phone at home just because I would have to look at it if it’s there. I hope the bad habits of others don’t continue to ruin your day.

Don’t worry about me. It’s sometimes a nuisance but I’m more worried about the teachers who have to deal with the students being unable to catch up. It creates a negative domino effect. But thanks for reading!

It’s sad that this is all kids care about anymore. Yeah, I gotta say I’m not completely opposed to the idea of corporal punishment…but you’re right that that would get us into trouble 😉

Some countries still use the whip, ruler, you name it. …Maybe we can learn something valuable from them.
